Tampa, Florida - JobsNewsTampa.com will host a Job fair on Tuesday May 22, 2012 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at George M. Steinbrenner Field. There will be over 40 companies participating.

Job seekers can speak one-on-one with company recruiters who have immediate hiring needs.

FrankCrum Staffing will also be in attendance offering FREE resume review.

Meet the Disney Princesses at Glazer Children's Museum

Tampa, Florida-- Rapunzel, Tiana and Cinderella welcome children to the Glazer Children's Museum for a royal meet and greet on May 16.

The princesses, stars of the Disney on Ice: Dare to Dream production at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, will spend time with the first 150 children that attend the event.

It is scheduled to take place on the third floor of the museum, 110 W. Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa, Florida 33602.

Residents can apply for Citizen Boards and Councils

Hillsborough County, Florida-- Hillsborough County Commissioners are seeking residents to serve on several County citizen advisory boards and councils.

Residents interested in seeking appointment must be registered voters in Hillsborough County.

These are voluntary positions, and members serve without compensation. Applicants may apply to more than one board, but may only serve on one board at a time.

The deadline for applying is June 14, 2012. Appointments will be scheduled for a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners in July 2012.

Pride & Passion this Saturday

Tampa, FL -- The official kick-off to St. Pete Pride will be this weekend with Pride & Passion.

In addition to benefiting St. Pete pride, the event also benefits the Tampa Museum of Art.

Organizers say the event costs $75 per person and includes one year TMA membership, open bar, food from Timpano's, entertainment, art, DJ, and more.

Pollo Tropical is honoring teachers throughout May by giving 15 teachers from 15 counties free Pollo Tropical for a year through its Teacher of the Year campaign.

The winning teachers from each county are the ones with the most nominations from students and parents in their respective county.
