Man tells gas clerk he needs change, steals money

Tampa, Fl-- Hillsborough County deputies are asking for the public's help in locating a man who robbed a local gas station a couple weeks ago.

Just after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, officials say the suspect walked into the Hess Express gas station off of U.S. 92 East and told the clerk he needed change. When the clerk opened the cash register, the suspect reached into the drawer, removed an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the scene.

The suspect is reportedly a white male in his 30's. He stands about 6'2", and weighs about 200 lbs. with a muscular build.  They say he is Bald or has a shaved head.  He was last seen wearing a light color polo shirt, khaki shorts, and white tennis shoes.

Deputies ask anyone with information in this case to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200.
