Tampa Bay Beer Week kicks off March 2

Tampa Bay, Florida -- Celebrate Tampa Bay beer culture at Tampa Bay Beer Week March 2-9.

Event organizers have planned a week-long celebration showcasing the area as an emerging and vibrant craft and specialty beer destination -- and you don't want to miss out.

A number of businesses, breweries, restaurants and so on will be hosting events each day in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties.

Beer Week at the Independent

Tampa, Florida-- Starting next Saturday, March 2, The Independent Bar and Cafe is hosting events all week long for the 2013 Tampa Bay Beer week.

From biking and brewing, to live music, to a 5k Beer Run- they're putting on all sorts of things.

The inaugural Tampa Bay Beer Week was established in 2012, and has since hosted more than 150 events.

McDonald’s engages kids in after school program "TiViTz Tuesdays"

Hillsborough County, Florida-- Today marks the first "TiViTz Tuesday", an educational event geared towards parents, teachers and kids to be held at local McDonald's restaurants through April.

SAS Games and TiViTz have partnered with owners and operators of Hillsborough County McDonald's restaurants to motivate kids to make the most of their abilities through playing TiViTz, a game based on mathematics and strategy.

Free Range Rooster at The Independent

Tampa, Florida -- Free Range Roosters are taking over The Independent on Sunday, Feb. 17.

These Roosters won't peck your ankles. They're more likely to carry fiddles and rock you with some acoustic Americana jams.

The Free Range Roosters are a band from the bay area and they're being featured at the Independent for their monthly event, Sunday School for Sinners.

Tampa, Florida -- Get your fill of music, food and beer during Third Saturdays in Seminole Heights on Feb. 16.

Florida Avenue throws the monthly party at the Cold Storage Craft Brewery at 4101 N. Florida Ave.

There will be plenty of craft beer, food truck grub and live music for everyone.

Spencer Meyers FIRST solo Art Opening is this Wednesday from 6p-9p. The Refinery's 2nd floor will be transformed into a world as seen through Spencer's eyes. All are welcome! Pieces will start at just $30.
